VERY BRIEF SUMMARY
------------------
One of Rashis 6 main goals is to explain grammar
the same way grammar textbooks explain grammar.
An important component of grammar are the rules governing
PARAGRAPH STYLE. Modern typing indicates paragraph style
by using such items as indentation, bold etc. The Bible
indicates paragraph style by skillfully using contrasting
keywords.
Ex28 speaks about the topic: THE PRIESTLY GARMENTS
Certain verses begin AARON & HIS CHILDREN while other
verses begin AARON or CHILDREN.
These introductory keywords create an indentation effect.
We infer from the subparagraphs that Aaron has 8 garments
- Breastplate(Choshen) Suit (Ayfod)
- Overcoat (Meil) Embroidered Shirt (Cutonet)
- Hat (Mitznefet/Migbaat) Belt(Avnayt)
- Pants (Michnathayim) Head-Mask (Tzizth)
His children only wear 4 garments
- Embroidered Shirt (Cutonet)
- Hat (Mitznefet/Migbaat) Belt(Avnayt)
- Pants (Michnathayim)
