VERY BRIEF SUMMARY ------------------ One of Rashis major techniques is to use Database methods to find patterns in several laws. EXAMPLE ------- There are a variety of laws that respect the feelings of inanimate objects or treat inanimate objects like people. For example -- we shouldnt undress before other PEOPLE (modesty) -- we shouldnt undress before Temple STONES -- We should kill a PERSON who slept immorally -- We should kill a ANIMAL who slept immorally -- We should kill idolatrous PEOPLE -- We should destroy idolatrous TREES -- PEOPLE should obey Gods laws -- STONES should obey Gods laws In these cases we use techniques of exaggeraion (Modest even before stones) to emphasize the importance of the law | ||
