Verse Dt14-06 discussing the requirements of Kosher animals states
And every beast that - parts the hoof, and
- has the hoof cloven into two,
and chews the cud among the beasts, that you shall eat
Rashi clarifies: There are two requirements:
- The hoof must be split and
- there must be two toes.
