NOTES:
-----

WELL ... BEHOLD
---------------
(*2a) From the words WELL and the phrases "BEHOLD IT IS TRUE(showing
surprise) common to all verses we infer that the judicial
investigation must be THOROUGH not superficial

SEEK INVESTIGATE ASK
--------------------
(*2b) From the 3 terms occuring in Dt13-15 SEEK INVESTIGATE ASK
we infer that the court must ask 3 types of questions

---ASK =WHAT did the accused do (eg Desecrate Sabbath, murder..)
---SEEK=Ascertain the PLACE and TIME where the crime happened
---ASK =cross examine with superficial QUESTIONS(eg 'color of clothing')

HOW "WELL" IS APPLIED
---------------------
(*2c) From the word WELL I infer that the questions must be DETAILED
(so as to try and trap the witnesses). We don't just ask WHEN it happened
but we ask "What Year, What Month, What day of Month, What day of week,
What hour (& Which 7 Year period)".

(In my opinion a similar set of 6
questions is asked about PLACE ("Which country", "Which state", Which
City" which street etc...However I cannot find a source to back me up.
According to literal law we ask many WHEN questions but only one WHERE
question. My suggestion however is backed up by the repeated word WELL

SEEK vs ASK
-----------
In the main posting the differences between the SEEK questions (WHERE
WHEN and WHAT) and the ASK questions (superficial questions...eg what
color coat) are derived from the repeated word SEEK SEEK SEEK vs the
non repeated words INVESTIGATE ASK.

*1 *4 *5 *6 *7 This is one of those instances where I cannot give
reasons to the differences in language in these verses (In the main
posting I explain *7)

*8 Note that Rashi derives certain laws from a 'counting of words'. But
the above derivation is logical and grammatical and hence preferred
