VERSE: Ex20-03y

EXAMPLE 1
---------
Ex12-18 From the 14th to the 21....
Ex12-19 ... 7 days ...
                  *1

NOTES:
------
*1 So the "7 days" are 7 "24 hour periods"(14th-21th)
   (Not 7 12 hour periods)

EXAMPLE 2
---------
Lv19-12 don't swear falsely in my name
Ex20-07 don't bear for nought the name of God
                *1 *2 *3

NOTES
-----
*1 (Not in Rashi) The prohibition of false oaths applies
whether you actually SWEAR or even if you just "Bear"
Gods name (as eg by using a slang word for swearing)

*2 (Not in Rashi) The prohibition of false oaths applies
whether you swear falsely ("That tree is sand") or swear
for nought ("That tree is a tree")

*3 The prohibition of false oaths applies whether you swear
by God or by a "name of God"(Such as the "All merciful")

EXAMPLE 3
----------
Lv19-19b Don't put on a SHAATNEZ Garment
Dt22-11 Don't wear SHAATNEZ, Wool and linen together
                   *1 *2

NOTES
-----
*1 (Not in Rashi) The prohibition of wearing Shaatnez applies
whether you WEAR it or whether you eg TRY IT ON (However
there is eg no prohibition of Shaatnez Bandaids since they
 are not clothes)

*2 The prohibition of wearning Shaatnez applies to anything
that is both a "garment" and has "wool and linen together"
So it applies to GARMENTS that are made by SEWING, WEAVING
or FELTED (Felted wool and linen) But eg the Biblical
prohibition does not apply to Wool and linen threads strapped
over you (Further details and the opinion of the Raavad are
  brought in the posting)

EXAMPLE 4
---------
Nu07-86a 12 gold spoons filed with perfume
Nu07-80 1 ten-gold spoon filled with perfume(Dedicated to temple)
            *1 *2

NOTES
-----
The word GOLD not only adjectivally modifies "spoon" but also
adverbially modifies "ten"!!. They were GOLDEN WEIGHTS used to
weigh GOLDEN SPOONS.

EXAMPLE 5
---------
Nu15-21a FROM the first dough give to God terumah
Nu15-20 the first dough raise challah terumah
          *1 *2 *3 *4

NOTES
-----
*1 You don't give the WHOLE 1st dough to God...but rather a
fraction (part) of it (hence it says "FROM")

*2*3*4 These other differences will be explained in the
Golden Rashi-Rambam series at a later date
