BACKGROUND

In the list of genealogies in Gn10 several races are referred
to by certain Hebrew words. Rashi explains one of these words
as describing their APPEARANCE (The BURNERS were called because
of their BURNING complexion (Like American Indians))

   Notice how some derive the words meaning from SHACHOR which
   means BLACK while others derive it from SHACHAR which means
   DAWN. Also notice that unlike English the word does not
   refer to a BLACK SKINNED RACE but rather to an AGE or STAGE
   of life when certain body parts are black.
