VERSE: Gn12-08b
RULE: The Hebrew word AHLO means HIS TENT. It occurs 14 times in
the Bible. In 4 of them the word is READ as "HIS TENT" but WRITTEN
AHLAH which means HER TENT.
In each of these 4 cases the fact that "HIS TENT" is written as
HER TENT shows that the men involved were "involved more than
usual" with their wives
We present below the 4 examples of this "involved more than usual"
EXAMPLES
--------
(1) Gn12-08 "& Abraham pitched HIS/HER tent"
Abraham pitched his wife's tent before he pitched his
(He acted like a gentleman)
(2) Gn13-08 "& Abraham pitched HIS/HER tent"
Abraham pitched hs wife's tent before he pitched his
(3) Gn09-21 "& Noach got drunk and rolled in HIS/HER Tent"
Noachs wife 'controlled' him (which is why he got drunk)
(4) Gn35-21 "& Israel pitched HIS/HER Tent ..."
Jacob was overly involved with his disceased wife(Rachel) and
hence moved into her tent after she died (This triggered Reuven's
protestation of his father spending too much time with a
bondsmaid (See Gn35-22))
