VERES: Gn29-27b

RULE: A PLURAL verb is used with a singular subject if
the subject is some type of master or owner. We call this
the ROYAL WE. It is used because a good master consults
with subordinates. This ROYAL WE is used BOTH by God & people

EXAMPLES: (No Explicit Rashi on the 1st 3 examples)
--------
(1) "And the Master(s) (Potiphera) of Joseph took him"
(2) "The masters (Joseph) of the land spoke harshly with us"
(3) "If his masters (1 master) are with him he must pay"
(4) "Complete the wedding and WE (Laban) will give you Leah"
(5) "When God(s) made me wander*1"
(6) "Let US (God) go down"
(7) "Let US (God) make man"
(8) "There God(s) revealed himself"

EXCEPTION:
---------
(9)The Bible says "Sarah nursed children"
(But there was only 1, Isaac)

RASHI: She nursed her children and her friends children
(NOTE: "Nurses" are not masters--hence we can NOT use the
ROYAL we here--instead we must interpret the plural to
denote many )

NOTES:
*1 The Hebrew root T-A-H means to WANDER (Its primary
meaning is not ERR or LOST). This can be see from the usage
in the verse Job38-41 "The animals wander without food"
