VERSE: Gn41-01a
RULE: There are several method to denote that something
happened AFTER something else
EXAMPLES
--------
(1) "And Adam lived 130 years, AND he gave birth to Sheth"
In this method you indicate "AFTERWARDS" by LISTING
the 2 items sequentially in a sentence
(cf all of Gn05)
This method is used when 2 events happened one RIGHT
after the other
(2) "And AFTER these events, God said to Abraham..."
In this method you indicate AFTERWARDS by using the
word AFTERWARDS (Cf Gn22-01)
This method is used when one event happened SOME
TIME AFTERWARDS but not necessarily immediately
after another one
(3) "At the COMPLETION of 6 months of bathing in perfume
baths, they then visited King Achasveyrush for an evening"
In this method "AFTERWARDS" is indicated using the word
COMPLETION
This method is used when something is a PREREQUISITE for
something else (So the perfuming was a prequisite for
coming to the King)*1
APPLICATION TO Gn41-01
----------------------
The word COMPLETION is used in Gn41-01
"At the COMPLETION of 2 years Pharoh had a dream (Which
Joseph would interpret and enable him to become vice
king)"
Since the word COMPLETION is used, therefore
we infer that the 2 years were a PREREQUISITE
for Joseph coming to Pharoh. Since during this 2 year
period Joseph was making contacts and relying on people
to redeem him we infer that he had to get "over this
stage"(of depending on people) in order to be worthy
(in Gods eye) to be vice-king.
