VERSE: Nu01-51a

RULE:
In all languages words of POSITION like UP, DOWN, can take on
a variety of extra meanings. A simple basic idea that unifies
many of these extra meanings is the fact that

--LIVING CREATURES(OBJECTS) GENERALLY STAND while
--DEAD CREATURES(OBJECTS) GENERALLY FALL.

EXAMPLES
--------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
(1-3) The following metaphorically use spatial terms on living beings
----------------------------------------------------------------------
(1) RISING from an illness;
(2) MISCARRIAGE (in Hebrew "FALLEN");
(3) SMITING AN ENEMY (FALLING the ENEMY).

---------------------------------------------------------------
(4-5) The following metaphorically use spatial terms on objects
---------------------------------------------------------------
(4) ERECTING a building;
(5) Nu01-51a "To DOWN the Mishkan" means "To disassemble it"

So Rashi Is Simple: TO "DOWN" THE MISHKAN = TO DISASSEMBLE IT.
