OVERVIEW
--------
-Two biblical chapters are cited below.
-You can read each one separately(horizontally across) OR

-Rashi comments on most of these differences

------------------------------------------------------------------
THE TWO BIBLICAL CHAPTERS

Nu05-06 till he desecrates God

Lv06-21 when he sins and feels guilty he shall return the theft

NOTES
-----
NOTES occur in 4 groups with common themes.

*1*2*3*4*6 No explanatory comments are made by Rashi on the
           minor differences on these phrases

*5*7 These 2 clauses describe WHAT THE CHAPTERS ARE TALKING ABOUT

They are talking about a person who denies under oath
having received a deposit or who steals someone or witholds
     wages

The person (when he confesses his sin) must return the denied
object (ie the deposit, theft or wages..)

Other procedures are also mentioned in each chapter such as
a fine of "a fifth" and bringing an offering(For the false
     oath he took)

*9*10 Rashi uses the ALIGNMENT to infer meaning

The phrase "RETURN HIS GUILT" in Nu05-06 corresponds to
      "RETURN THE PRINCIPLE" in Lv06-21

Similarly the phrase "RETURN TO THE PERSON HE FEELS GUILTY"
in Nu05-06 corresponds to "RETURN TO THE PERSON TO WHOM IT
      BELONGS" in Lv06-21.

*8*11 Rashi explains that this chapter, initially stated in Lv06-21,
was repeated in Nu05-06 because of these 2 extra laws

*8 There is a requirement to CONFESS THE SIN
*11 To deal with the case where he robbed a convert who has
no heirs...special laws govern the return of money in
this case (The money goes to the Priests)
