SUCCINCT SUMMARY
----------------
The FORMATTING rule seeks to explain Rashis based on
the FORMATTING of the Biblical text. FORMATTING techniques
in modern writing include use of bold, italics, underline,
bullets, paragraph indentation and similar items. The Bible
indicated FORMATTING using its own techniques: For example
- the Bible indicates bold, italics, underline thru REPETITION
- the BIble indicates bulleting, thru REPEATING keywords
The Bible can also indicate formatting thru meaning without
any formal structure.

EXAMPLE Nu30
------------
The text of Nu30 is an entire Biblical paragraph describing
women who take vows. The Bible clearly discusses 4 cases
-------------------------------------------------------
- Nu30-04 WOMAN IN HER FATHERS HOUSE = beginning teenage
- Nu30-07 WOMAN BELONGS TO A MAN = engaged
- Nu30-10 WIDOW or DIVORCEE = widow, divorcee
- Nu30-11 WOMAN in her HUSBANDS HOUSE= married
-------------------------------------------------------

The Rashi comments are indicated on the far right. Notice
that these comments are NOT based on the meaning of the
Biblical words but rather they are based on the formatting.

For example since the Bible considers two cases
- women belongs to a man
- women in husbands house
I therefore, because of the FORMATTING, interpret these
as two distinct states
- engaged
- married.
The words by themselves dont justify this.

Similarly because of the 4 sections I interpret WOMEN IN
HER FATHERS HOUSE to mean a woman under her father's care
(Not literally in her father's house)

LIST107m below summarizes these arguments.

BULLETED structure of Nu30--Annulments of vows
====================================================
VERSE BIBLICAL TEXT WOMEN'S STATUS
======== ======================= ===================
Nu30-04a in her father's house beginning teenage*1
Nu30-07a if she belongs to a man engage*2
Nu30-10 if a widow or divorcee widow divorcee
Nu30-11a in her husband's house married*2

NOTES
-----
*1 The 4 verses describe 4 broad contrastive
   categories.Hence Rashi interprets,IN CONTEXT,the
phrase FATHER'S HOUSE to mean UNDER HER
FATHER'S CARE which is the beginning teenage
years (She doesnt have to literally live with
   her father)

*2 Because there are two phrases
   - belong to a man
   - her husband's house
   Rashi interprets them distinctly
   - belong to a man= engaged
   - her husband's house = married
