Subject: Re: Refrigerator Light

QUESTION: What is the best way to keep the frigidaire light off on Shabbath?

ANSWER:
About 5 people posted in Torah Forum VOlume 5 Number 53 about frigidaire
lights. The two responses I saw were (a) take the bulb out (b) tape it.

Actually taping switches is dangerous since there is much moisture in a
frigidaire and the tape may come off. I have found the following trick useful.

(a) Stick a toothpick in the sliding switch space and (b) close the switch.
Then (c) break the toothpick off.

Thus you have wedged a toothpick in the frigidaire switch so it can't come
out. You can then (d)tape it. (I tape it 'across and down' several times)

I hope this helps
