BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RASHI RULES

BULLETING--One of Rashis rules is to review, not individual
word meaning, or word grammar, but rather, overall sentence
and paragraph structure. We can infer items from overall
paragraph structure. In todays posting we infer items from
the paragraph style which uses a CONTRAST METHOD. This
contrast method is compactly exhibited in LIST 1

OTHER VERSES--Beside using rules governing meaning and
grammar Rashi also uses governing cross-reference. Very
often another verse can supply further details to a given
verse. In todays posting Rashi cites other verses where God
promises rain for observing the commandments. This supports
