VERSE: Ex04-04a
RULE: The Hebrew root Ch-Z-K can have different meanings
based on the MODE of the verb as well as the connective
word used with it.
The phrase Ch-Z-K+"IN" means to HOLD (provided
Ch-Z-K is used in the HIFIL mode)
EXAMPLES (In the following verses Ch-Z-K occurs with "IN")

(1) Gn21-18,...and GRAB the child (Angel speaking to Hagar)
(2) Gn19-16, ..and they (the angels) GRABBED him (Lot)
(3) Job2-9, ..you still HOLD on to your (claim of ) innocence
(4) Ex09-02, ..you still HOLD on to them (the Jews)*2
(5) Ex04-04, ..and he GRABBED it (Moses grabbed the stick)*2
(6) Prv26-16, Like a person GRABBING the ears of a dog so too

*1 There is considerable controversy on the other meanings
of Ch-Z-K + CONNECTIVE words. Hence some of these
are conjectural. Here is the list I compiled with sample
