VERSE: Ex25-09a

RASHIS COVERED: Ex25-09a Ex25-09b

==================== MULTI VERSE SENTENCES ======================

BACKGROUND
----------
One of Rashis main 6 goals in his commentary is to clarify
grammar. One major grammatical function is to clarify sentence
structure. Of the 6,000 Biblical verses 99% of them form complete
sentences. A small percent (about 0.5%) of Biblical sentences
span two verses. Rashis job is to alert the reader to these
rare occurences

THE TEXT
--------
(Ex25-08) Make Me a Temple (Ex25-09) the way I am showing you

THE RASHI
---------
The above sentence spans two verses. We consequently infer that
the end of Ex25-09 is a new and separate sentence

-------------------------------------------------------------
End of Ex25-09 And this is how you will make temple utensils
' in the future
-------------------------------------------------------------
So eg the utensils in Solomons temple were made the same
way the utensils in Moses temple were made

THE LIST
--------
We present the clauses of Ex25-02:09 below. For purposes of
clarity we separate the main sentence clauses and the
parenthetical clauses into two columns. Other omitted clauses
are discussed in the footnotes. Our objective in this list is
to show how Rashi perceives the paragraph as one whole sentence.

NOTES
-----
*1 Rashis point: Ex25-08 and Ex25-09 are perceived as 1 sentence
   --------------------------------------------------
Make me a temple the way I am showing you below*10
   --------------------------------------------------

It follows that the end of Ex25-09 is a 2nd & new sentence
   ---------------------------------------------------
And this set of instructions is how you will always
make temple utensils (RASHI: as eg in the utensils
   of the Temple of Solomon)
   ---------------------------------------------------

------------------- LONGER FOOTNOTES ----------------------------

*10 The actual Biblical text has additional sentence phrases
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Make me a temple --(so that I can dwell among the Jews)--
the way I am showing you:((Both))Temple Structure & Utensils
    ------------------------------------------------------------

IN SUMMARY: Rashi sees the 2 verses as one sentence and
see other phrases in these verses as parenthetical.
