RULE: In every other case in the Bible where God APPEARS
to someone he always gives a PROPHETIC COMMUNICATION.


Gn18-01 is the only verse where God appeared
without also transmitting a communication


Thus Rashi interprets Gn18-01a that God appeared to Abraham
on simply a FRIENDLY visit---to inquire about his welfare.
