VERSE: Gn45-14a

RULE: The Hebrew root B-C-H can have different meanings depending
on the connective word used with it.

EXAMPLES
--------
(1) BCH ETH means to Mourn as in Dt21-13 "And she will mourn
    her familys household"

(2)BCH EL means to Crying on something specific
   Hence Rashi interprets Gn45-14 as
"And Binyamin CRIED CONCERNING Joseph's backbone"*1

(2a)In other words Binyamin cried when he heard that Joseph had
stood up for himself ("Backbone") and went to jail rather
then give in to his Master's wife overtures.

(2b) Similarly Nu11-10 is interpreted
"And Moses heard the nation CRYING CONCERNING
(the laws) of family purity (which had just been given)

(3) BCH L means to be Shocked at the sight of something
It occurs only a few times in the Bible.

NOTES
-----
*1 The main posting gives many verses where BACKBONE means
standing up for oneself. It also studies other aspects of the
verse (such as the plural "backbones") Finally the main
posting shows how if you wanted to say "And he fell on
his shoulders" then a different style would be used
