MeADAM=DIED RED; ADooM=NATUARLLY RED

EXAMPLE Ex25-05a: ADOOM=natural Red; MEADAM = DIED RED

BACKGROUND
----------
One of Rashis 6 main goals is to indicate Grammatical conjugation
Rashi pays particular emphasis on rare grammatical conjugations
that might be overlooked.

REFERENCES
----------
The 6 Rashi goals: http://www.RashiYomi.Com/rules-01.htm

THE PARTICIPLE FORM
-------------------
When you want to indicate that an object has an attribute
you use the PARTICIPLE form which is typically characterized
by an O-O sound (SHOROOK).

THE LIST
--------
The LIST below gives typical examples. Thus GNAV means to STEAL
while GANOOV means STOLEN.*1

THE RASHI
---------
Ah--we now understand Rashi on Ex25-05a. The Hebrew form
is MeADaMiM which does not occur in ANY conjugation list.

For example Al Silberman in his Grammatical Form Konkordance
Form, 1463, points out THIS IS AN ABNORMAL CONJUGATION.
I would suggest that it is a HAFAL form (With the punctuation
of the first two letters switched)*2.

Is01-18 shows the CAUSATIVE HIFIL FORM--[If your sins are
REDDENED then we will WHITEN them]. Hence Ex25-05 would be
the HAFAL, or PASSIVE CAUSATIVE form and would refer to
skins that are DIED RED.

In fact this is Rashis point. The participle ADOOM refers
to an object that is NATURALLY red (eg Nu19-02) while
MeADAM refers to an object that is DIED red!

Here is the list.*4
VERSE ROOT MEANING ADJECTIV MEANING-ADJECTIVE
Gn30-34 GNV To steal GaNooV Stolen
Nu32-30 CLTz To draw a sword CaLooTz Armed (Sword-drawn)
Is22-18 BDR To bundle*3 CaDoor Ball(Bundled object)
Ho13-08 SChL Bereft of children ShaCooL Bereft
2R03-22 ADM To redden ADoom Red
COMMENTS
*1 Some of these forms apply to NOUNS while others apply to
adjectives. My point is that the SHOROOK sound indicates
an ATTRIBUTE. These can be looked up in standard references
like the Ibn Shoshan dictionary VOlume 5 Noun FOrms
   65,66,67 and Adjective forms 20,22.

*2 Al suggests that MeADAM is a rare PUAL form and should be
   MeOODamim (as Isa9-15). *11

*3 There is no verb TO BUNDLE. However the TO BUNDLE meaning
emerges as a pun in the following verses
  ------------------------------------------------------
Is22-18 God will BUNDLE you like a bundled BALL on open ground
Is29-03 God will CAMP AGAINST you LIKE a BALL (of BONFIRE)
  ------------------------------------------------------

*4 This Rashi shows the goal of this email list. For Rashi is
sound and grammatical EVEN THOUGH he is focused on minutae
This is because he can be defended by a database. Thus our
goal is to defend all Rashis with database lists.
